Care & Maintenance
Proper care will help preserve the natural wood finish, solid structure, and refined form of your McKenzie Bed Frame for many years.
Regular cleaning
Dust the bed frame regularly using a soft, dry cloth. For light cleaning, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent moisture from settling into the wood.
Spill management
Wipe up spills immediately using a clean, dry cloth. Avoid allowing liquids to sit on the wood surface, as prolonged moisture may cause staining or affect the natural finish.
Cleaning products
Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or ammonia based products. If needed, use a mild wood cleaner suitable for finished timber surfaces.
Heat and moisture protection
Avoid placing hot items directly on the bed frame. Excessive heat or moisture may lead to surface marks or changes in the wood over time.
Sunlight and environment
Position the bed away from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent uneven colour changes or fading. Maintaining a stable indoor environment will help preserve the wood’s appearance and integrity.
General care
Lift the bed frame when moving it rather than dragging, to protect the legs and flooring. Ensure the bed is assembled correctly and placed on a level surface to maintain long term stability.
With regular care and mindful use, the McKenzie Bed Frame will retain its natural warmth, clean lines, and timeless character, remaining a calming feature in your bedroom for years to come.
